// Monitoring · Performance · Control
Energy monitoring that ends at answers, not spreadsheets.
Sub-metering and data logging built into the switchgear — feeding the Plantstream monitoring platform: live dashboards, bankable performance figures, plain-English alarms, and compliant curtailment when the site needs it.
- IEC 61724-1 Class A-capable solar monitoring
- 280+ device profiles — multi-vendor, multi-site
- Closed-loop G100/2 curtailment, fully logged
The Plantstream platform — monitoring, performance and control for solar, storage and metering hardware.
You can't manage what you don't measure — and half-hourly guesswork from a single fiscal meter doesn't tell you which circuits, tenants or machines are spending the money. ENICO designs and builds sub-metering and data-logging systems that measure consumption where it happens and put the data somewhere useful.
From a handful of DIN-rail meters in an existing board to multi-site logging with dashboards and automated reports, we supply the metering panels, the communications and the platform integration.

What the Plantstream platform adds
Measured performance
Bankable Performance Ratio to IEC 61724-1 from real sensors — Class A, B or C to suit the project — with temperature correction that flattens the seasonal swing.
A PR figure on every site
No weather station? Satellite-modelled irradiance keyed to the site's location and array geometry gives an indicative PR with zero extra hardware.
Alarms in plain English
Describe what to watch and the rule builds itself — five-tier severity, acknowledgement, automatic clear, and every alarm landing on the chart as an event band.
Any device, mapped in minutes
A curated library of 280+ field-tested Modbus profiles — inverters, meters, batteries, weather stations, protection relays — organised into a location tree that matches the real site.

Live in minutes, not months
- Step 1
The logger ships pre-provisioned
A plug-and-play cellular data logger arrives ready to go. On site it needs power, a connection, and comms to your equipment — no integrator, no SCADA project.
- Step 2
Pick your kit from a list
Choose the make and model of each device and the mapping is configured remotely — named, scaled, unit-typed channels from the first payload.
- Step 3
Live from day one
Readings, dashboards, performance figures and alarms populate immediately — on every device, shareable with the people who need to see them.
What we provide
Sub-metering panels and retrofits
Metering built into new switchboards or retrofitted to existing boards with split-core CTs — per-circuit, per-floor or per-tenant measurement.
Billing-grade metering
MID-approved meters where readings feed tenant billing or landlord recharging.
Data collection and logging
Modbus, M-Bus and pulse collection into local loggers or gateways, pushing data to your platform over the site network or mobile connection.
Dashboards and reporting
Consumption dashboards, alerts and scheduled reports through the Plantstream monitoring platform — so the data becomes decisions, not a spreadsheet nobody opens.
Generation and plant monitoring
The same infrastructure monitors solar generation, battery throughput, generator run-hours and plant alarms alongside consumption.
Capability at a glance
| Metering | DIN-rail and panel meters; MID-approved options for billing |
|---|---|
| Measurement | Direct-connected or CT-operated (split-core available for retrofit) |
| Communications | Modbus RTU/TCP, M-Bus, pulse; site network or mobile data |
| Solar performance | IEC 61724-1 Class A-capable monitoring via Plantstream (Class B/C to suit the project) |
| Outputs | Dashboards, alerts, scheduled reports, data export |
Common questions
Can you add metering without shutting the site down?
Usually, yes. Split-core CTs and careful sequencing let us retrofit most metering with minimal or no interruption — where an isolation is unavoidable, we plan it with you.
Whose platform does the data go to?
Yours, if you have one — we integrate with common energy-management platforms and BMS head-ends. If you don't, we set you up on the Plantstream monitoring platform, with dashboards and reporting included.
Is this suitable for tenant billing?
Yes, provided billing-grade (MID-approved) meters are used at the billing points — we specify these as standard when recharging is the goal.
Often combined with
// Monitor and act — one supplier
Most monitoring stops at watching. This closes the loop.
Pair the Plantstream platform with ENICO's fully type-tested G100/2 scheme and the site doesn't just report — it acts: compliant export limitation and curtailment, with setpoints written to inverters within seconds and every curtailment logged as an event. Monitoring, decision and certified control, without stitching two vendors together.

- Closed-loop curtailment — monitored, decided, executed
- Every curtailment logged as an event — an auditable compliance trail
